The sound of engines revving?

The excitement of the growing crowd?

The focus of thoughts and emotions?

Or the theme tune playing loud?

What is the formula?

The champagne waiting on ice?

The tyres laid out in a row?

The walk along the starting grid?

Or the lights out.......and then Go?

What is the formula?

The pit crew watching with bated breath?

The speed of the pit stop?

The penalties? The DNF's?

Or the coming out on top?

What is the formula?

The trophy awaiting winning hands?

The chequered flag waiting to rise?

The pounding of the asphalt?

Or the visors over eyes?

What is the formula?

The build up of tension?

The DRS deployed?

The commentators tone of voice?

Or the stare into the void?

What is the Formula?

The reading of the data?

The probability of rain?

The calling of the safety car?

Or the tears of joy and pain?

What is the formula

That fuels the sport we love?

Is isn't merely one of these,

It is all of the above!
